- Should there be one or two members of a group that are either coeliacs or intolerant to gluten, most dishes can be adapted so that the gluten component is removed and replaced with a kinder alternative. With some desserts this can be more problematic and an alternative dessert will be suggested. Threre is a €35 per person fee to cover the cost of GF ingredients & products as well as additional time spent in preparation.
- The whole group decides to take on a gluten-free menu, which of course shouldn't do anyone any harm for a week or so. Though not scientifically proven, most of us feel lighter for not consuming wheat/gluten based products for a while!
Whilst gluten-free products can now be found in many local supermarkets, it is fair to say that there is not the range or quality, that can be found in the UK. They can also be very expensive, a cost that unfortunately would have to be passed on.
So, while I am more than happy to create gluten-free meals for you, you may wish to bring some gluten-free items with you. In particular cereals are hard to source here. The best way forward is to consult with me, about what you should and shouldn't bother bringing with you.
